Startup cost: Low to moderate startup cost (miter saw, pocket hole jig, drill, Forstner and brad-point bits, sander; scrap pine, a dowel, glue and stain) (our estimate; the video doesn’t give figures)

What It Is
You build a small wall-mounted bathroom shelf from pine scraps: a top shelf for a phone or other items, a side box that hides a pack of flushable wet wipes, and a dowel arm with a small upturned tip that holds a toilet paper roll. The creator joins the parts with pocket holes, glue and exposed 3/8-inch dowels sanded flush, adds a 1x2 strip on the back for screwing into the wall, and finishes it with stain and a rub-on polyurethane. He shares a free cut list.
The Pitch
The creator says it is his own improved version of a best-selling toilet paper shelf. His selling point is the wipes cubby: he says more and more people use flushable wipes and have nowhere to put them, so a holder that stores them should sell better than the plain version.
Who It’s Best For
A beginner to intermediate woodworker with basic power tools who wants a cheap, quick bathroom product to sell online or at local markets.
The Truth (as we see it)
The demand claim is the creator's guess; the video shows no listings, prices or sales for this design or the original best seller. Materials cost very little, but you need a drill, saws and a sander, and you pack and ship every order. Small bathroom shelves are a crowded category, so photos and finish quality will matter. The video is mostly a build tutorial with a lot of joking, so you will have to work out pricing yourself.
