You work for truck drivers who own their trucks: they tell you where and when they're available, and you search load boards such as DAT, call the shippers or brokers posting loads, and book loads for them. You typically earn a percentage of each load; the guest describes about 10%, using an example of an $800 load from years ago. It is done entirely by phone and computer.

The guest says no license is needed to dispatch (unlike brokering, which represents the shipper), it can be done fully remotely, and it led him to discover a much bigger business renting trailers to the same drivers.

Someone organized and comfortable on the phone who can negotiate rates and keep track of several drivers' schedules.

The guest says margins on dispatching were thin and he didn't make much from it, so this is a modest income unless you manage several trucks. Dispatching in this sense is mostly US-based and the trucking market swings with fuel prices and freight demand. The episode's main business, subleasing semi-trailers to truckers, is not covered here. The guest says he sells no course; the host's show promotes HighLevel as a sponsor.
