What It Is
You print artwork on paper circles at home, place them in a button press and pull the handle; each button takes about 10 seconds and costs about 25 cents. Custom buttons sell for $2-4 each, and bulk orders (a band ordering 100 for $150, a shop wanting 50 for an opening) can leave $100+ profit for about an hour's work. You can also design ready-made buttons (animals, jokes, quotes) to sell at markets for $3.
The Pitch
The creator says buyers include bands, bakeries, couples, schools, sports clubs and anyone with a logo. He suggests giving free samples to local business owners so everyone who walks in sees your work.
Who It’s Best For
Creative people who like quick, hands-on production and can drum up custom orders.
The Truth (as we see it)
Button making is cheap and simple, and bulk custom orders are the realistic money-maker. Large online button printers compete on price, so speed and local service are your advantages. Finding bulk buyers takes outreach. Figures are the creator's estimates. The creator sells a paid 'roadmap' guide for starting a home-based machine business (supplier info, budgets, calculators, outreach templates), linked in the description.
