What It Is
Brands pay you to film short videos of their products that they post or run as ads. You do not need followers. The creator's method: film on your phone's back camera with HDR off, by a window, with clean audio. Record a 45-second pitch video instead of building a portfolio. Pitch brands already running UGC-style ads on TikTok and Instagram, search X for posts like 'UGC casting call' or 'looking for UGC creators', and use platforms such as JoinBrands, Billo and Insense to get practice. After three deals, put the videos in a Google Drive 'proof folder'. Then sell a 'modular ad kit' of three hooks, one body and two calls to action, which she says can turn a $200 video into a $600 deliverable, and charge separately for paid-ad usage (from $150 for 30 days).
The Pitch
The creator cites Collabstr data showing brand demand for UGC more than doubled (from 15% to over 35% of campaigns) even as the average payout slipped from $209 to $197. She says AI avatars now handle cheap scripted videos, but brands still pay real people for relatable, credible footage, and that US rules ban fake AI testimonials. She started at 47 and says brands want creators over 30 and 40.
Who It’s Best For
Comfortable-on-camera people of any age, including parents and older adults, willing to send many pitches before the first yes.
The Truth (as we see it)
This is one of the more grounded UGC videos: it says lazy UGC is losing to AI and warns that 50 to 100 applications before a first yes is normal. The market figures are attributed to a Collabstr report and were not checked here, and the $600 deliverable is the creator's example, not a typical rate. Early work is often gifted product rather than cash. Outside the US she suggests pitching apps and digital products. She promotes a free community (and mentions her own frameworks and tools); no paid course is pitched in this video.
