Corporate Pay-Per-Lead Business

Pay-per-lead business selling qualified leads to large corporate buyers, built around a day job

Video published Nov 2, 2026 by Dewei Zhang

Startup cost: Needs ongoing ad budget (about $400 a month in basic infrastructure; ad spend for each test)

What It Is

Instead of selling monthly marketing retainers to small local businesses, agree a lead specification with a large company that buys leads (a law firm, home-service platform or similar): the type of customer, location, qualification rules, daily volume and price per accepted lead. You run the Meta ads, the qualifying funnel and the delivery into the buyer's CRM and call center, and get paid per lead they accept, often with a test order paid 50% up front. The creator generates and edits many ad variations cheaply with AI and an overseas editor, tracks accepted leads rather than form fills, and scales only once the margin per accepted lead holds.

The Pitch

The creator argues corporate buyers have huge performance budgets and already work with many lead vendors, so one good buyer can replace a salary, while you own the ad account, pixel and data instead of doing work a client can later bring in-house. He says software engineers and sales closers already have the key skills and their paychecks give them runway.

Who It’s Best For

Salaried people with technical (APIs, CRMs) or sales skills who can fund ad tests and handle B2B negotiations.

The Truth (as we see it)

Pay-per-lead is a legitimate, established model, and the advice to lock down acceptance rules and track accepted-lead margins is sound. It is genuinely risky: ad spend is at stake on every test, buyers can reject leads, and some lead verticals (legal, finance, health) carry consumer-protection and advertising rules. The student's $100,000 month followed a warm introduction from the creator, which most people won't have. The video funnels viewers to a call to join the creator's paid program.
