Chrome Extension Development
Chrome extension development validated by search volume and monetization research before building

Startup cost: Very low startup cost (AI coding tool subscription; hosting via Vercel/Supabase) (our estimate; the video doesn’t give figures)

What It Is
Build browser (Chrome) extensions using AI/agentic coding tools rather than manual programming, but validate each idea before building it: check search volume for the extension idea (via Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or similar), confirm similar extensions are already generating revenue (checking a platform like extensionpay.com, which many extensions use for Stripe-based monetization), and filter for ideas that are easy to get installed and used repeatedly rather than once.
The Pitch
The presenter's guest, Eddie, runs a portfolio of about 10 small AI-built businesses generating $30,000-50,000/month combined, with 5 Chrome extensions alone generating $20,000/month using a freemium model (free access initially, then charging over time). He builds using Claude Code, hosts on Vercel with Supabase as the database, and creates custom reusable "skills" for recurring tasks like outreach, rather than starting from scratch each time.
Who It’s Best For
Someone comfortable with AI coding tools (Claude Code or similar) who wants a structured, research-first approach to picking which small software product to build, rather than guessing at ideas.
The Truth (as we see it)
The validation framework here (search volume plus competitor monetization proof plus install-friction assessment) is a genuinely useful risk-reduction method that applies well beyond just Chrome extensions. That said, Eddie's own results reflect years of iterating across many products and business ideas, most of which he says "weren't really good" at first — the portfolio approach (build several, keep what works) is the real strategy, not any single extension being a guaranteed win.
