What It Is
You learn practical AI skills well enough to teach beginners, then offer short classes and talks: the guest's example student, laid off from a government job, got booked to teach at her local library and chamber of commerce and picked up clients from each event. The guest, AI trainer Alicia Lyttle, also walks through using Claude to build your voice profile, a personal profile from your resume, and a ranked list of income ideas that fit your background.
The Pitch
Lyttle says AI literacy is the most in-demand skill right now and that most people and businesses don't know how to use the tools, so someone who knows a little more than their audience can get paid to teach. She stresses building on your past career, such as a former school principal teaching AI in education.
Who It’s Best For
Someone who likes explaining things to people, ideally with a professional background they can tailor AI lessons to.
The Truth (as we see it)
Teaching beginners is a realistic entry point, but the student example is anecdotal and income figures aren't given. Library and chamber talks are often unpaid or low-paid and work mainly as lead generation, and some sessions are in person. Lyttle runs an AI training and certification business and sells AI courses, and the episode includes several sponsors.
