What It Is
Ask an AI agent to suggest simple problems your audience has within your interests, pick one, and have the agent build a website around it, in the example a directory of AI agent use cases and tools. The agent is set up as the 'CEO' with daily and weekly routines: adding new listings, checking for bugs, making one SEO improvement a day, and sending a newsletter to subscribers. Money comes from sponsors who pay for a logo slot on the site and in the newsletter, with the agent asking for approval before payments or sponsor emails go out.
The Pitch
A featured creator, Alex Finn, shows about $1,100 in sponsorship payments in one day from such a directory and says he put almost no effort into it. The host adds that the newsletter is the key piece, because people rarely return to a website but will keep reading emails, and newsletters attract advertising money.
Who It’s Best For
People already comfortable with AI agent tools who know a niche well enough to judge whether the directory is useful.
The Truth (as we see it)
Niche directories and newsletters funded by sponsors are a real model, and letting an agent handle routine updates can cut the work. The 'zero effort' framing is overstated: the featured creator already has a large AI audience that sends traffic and sponsors, which a newcomer would not have, and the $1,100 figure is his own claim. Agent subscriptions have usage limits and costs that can change, and agent-written listings still need checking for accuracy. This video is sponsored by Zapier.
