What It Is
You apply to the Walmart Creator program with public social accounts totaling about 1,000 followers (an Instagram, TikTok or Facebook business page must be included). Once approved, you set up your storefront, build product collections (for example holiday decor or outfits), and share affiliate links in posts, carousels and DMs, using the free LinkDM automation tool the program provides. The guest, creator Tanner Clemens, says clothing earns about 15% commission, raised to 20% during deal days, with a 14-day cookie and credit for everything else in the shopper's cart except groceries; "collabs" add bonus commissions from specific sellers. She makes many carousel images with AI from Walmart product photos, labeled as AI.
The Pitch
The guest says Walmart is adding creator perks while other programs cut back, commissions are much higher than typical Amazon off-site rates, and links can be shared almost anywhere. She says her 62,000-follower Instagram earns a couple thousand dollars a month from affiliate links, and that joining now positions you for Walmart's upcoming on-site video program, which is still in beta.
Who It’s Best For
US-based people who enjoy social media, especially shopping, home and fashion content, and who are willing to build a personal following.
The Truth (as we see it)
Walmart's creator program is real, and its commission rates are generally higher than Amazon's for many categories, but the rates, rules and the promised on-site program can change, and on-site earnings are speculation at this point. The income figure is the guest's own, built on an account grown since 2013, and she says growth comes from showing your personality, so a faceless account may grow slower. Use the #WalmartPartner disclosure she mentions and label AI images. The guest sells a Walmart Creator course, and the host links to it with an affiliate link.
