What It Is

Instead of chasing YouTube ad revenue, give a small audience a paid way to get more of you: a Skool community at around $29 to $69 a month. Search your video comments for phrases like "course," "help" and "where do I start," paste them into an AI chatbot to find the top recurring problem, and build one short crash course named after that outcome. Add a 20-30 minute weekly live call and one personal touch, such as reviewing members' landing pages or posture videos. Send viewers first to a free guide, then invite them in, with a price-increase deadline and a refund promise.

The Pitch

The creator says YouTube paid him $271 last month from 164,000 subscribers, while about 367 paying members bring in roughly $10,500 a month; he cites a Pilates teacher with under 10,000 subscribers and 671 members at $47. He argues views matter far less than giving interested viewers a way to pay.

Who It’s Best For

Creators with a specific skill and some audience, even a small one, who will show up live every week and give members individual feedback.

The Truth (as we see it)

Small-audience paid communities are a real and growing model, and the advice to build from real comment questions and add a personal touch is sound. Membership numbers shown are the creator's and his example's own, and churn is the constant challenge, which is why the weekly call matters. You do need people watching you first, and live calls make it a commitment, not passive income. Skool and similar platforms charge a monthly fee and may take a cut.
