What It Is
A general roadmap, not a single product idea, for validating and launching a SaaS product: commit to at least 50 discovery calls before writing any code, only accept real prepayment as validation (not verbal interest), build the smallest possible manual version of the product first, then grow using what Robinson calls the "magic triangle" of LinkedIn content, targeted cold outreach, and retargeting ads working together.
The Pitch
Robinson, who's built three software companies to a combined $35 million in ARR, is specific about the mechanics at each stage: ask prospects six exact questions on discovery calls (including "I'm thinking of charging X per month, would you pay that price?"), do everything manually before automating (his company RB2B sent leads via spreadsheet email for five months before building a website), and look for three concrete product-market-fit signals, weekly referrals, customers who'd be upset to lose it, and organic growth with zero marketing, before investing in scale.
Who It’s Best For
Someone willing to do real, unscalable manual outreach and service delivery early on rather than jumping straight to automation, and comfortable posting consistently and personally on LinkedIn as part of the growth strategy.
The Truth (as we see it)
Robinson discloses he built and is promoting his own product, RB2B (a website-visitor identification tool), as part of the outreach and retargeting strategy he describes, worth knowing since parts of the roadmap are shaped around that tool's specific use case. The discovery-call questions, manual-first building philosophy, and specific product-market-fit signals are general, independently useful advice regardless of which tools you choose to execute the growth engine with.
