Build a digital marketing agency on the GoHighLevel platform starting with local small-business clients to build real, provable results, then use those results to register as a government contractor and bid on federal, state, and county marketing contracts, which Bonds says routinely pay far more than equivalent private-sector work with much less competition.
Bonds cites a specific example from a fellow marketer, Tim: a $25,000-a-month, $300,000-a-year government digital marketing contract that only had two competing bidders, for essentially the same dashboard-reporting service Bonds sells local clients for $500 a month. Her core argument for why government contracts are less competitive is structural: government agencies have to spend their allocated marketing budgets by the end of the fiscal year or lose them, so there's real pressure to find and pay a vendor, and once a budget is posted, there's no cold-calling or price negotiation involved, you either bid or you don't.
Someone willing to start with the unglamorous work of landing and delivering for local clients first, to build a real track record, before attempting the more involved process of registering as and winning business as a government contractor.
This is explicitly a documented-in-progress journey, not a completed case study: Bonds discloses she's only a couple of months into running her own agency and is currently being walked through government-contractor registration by Tim and his team, she has not personally landed a government contract at the time of this video. The video also funnels into a paid workshop with her coach and a waitlist for a future interview with Tim, worth knowing given how much of the pitch rests on Tim's specific $300,000 contract story rather than Bonds' own verified results.
