AI Avatar Coaching Funnel

AI avatar short-form videos feeding a webinar-to-coaching sales funnel

Video published Oct 22, 2026 by Vishen

Startup cost: Needs ongoing ad budget (plus avatar, voice and automation tool subscriptions) (our estimate; the video doesn’t give figures)

What It Is

An expert or coach creates fictional AI presenter characters (images in Higgsfield or Nano Banana, voices in ElevenLabs voice design, animated in HeyGen Avatar 5) that deliver short videos scripted from transcripts of content that has already performed well. Each video ends with a comment-a-keyword call to action, and ManyChat sends the commenter a link, including an automatic message to every new follower. Videos whose retention curve stays flat get paid ads aimed at people who watched more than half or saved the post. Leads go to a free 90-minute masterclass run weekly on Zoom (a recorded middle section with a live intro and live Q&A), which sells a $997 three-day online deep dive, then $10,000 group coaching, then $75,000 one-to-one and $125,000 top-tier programs.

The Pitch

The guest, John Lee, says his AI avatar videos now outperform videos of himself because the scripts are built from proven hooks, and that one under-five-minute avatar video drew 1.2 million views and over 4,000 leads, which he values at 20-30 pounds each in ad terms. He says people care about the information more than whether the presenter is AI, and that people now pay for an outcome rather than for education, so each step of the funnel offers the next result. He reports about 10,000 webinar registrations a week, a 25% show rate and roughly 8% conversion to the $997 program.

Who It’s Best For

An established expert, coach or consultant with a proven teaching offer who can run webinars live and support paid ad spend; it is not a starting point for someone without expertise or an offer to sell.

The Truth (as we see it)

The view, lead and conversion numbers are the guest's own and unaudited, and the host (Mindvalley's founder) opens by asking viewers to buy the guest's book, so the interview is partly promotional. The funnel itself, keyword comment automation, retargeting video viewers, and a webinar that sells a higher-priced program, is a well-known and workable model, but the scale described depends on years of audience building, a paid team running the live chat, and steady ad spend. The webinars are presented as live while the core presentation is a recording, and the AI characters are fictional people, so anyone copying this should label AI content clearly and check platform rules on synthetic media and ads. Most of the money in this model comes from high-ticket coaching sold to the guest's own audience, which is not a result a newcomer should expect.
